Billy Davis has promised there will be no rest for the North End players during the international break. He is hoping the time will be useful in bringing some of the players back from injuries.
Brian O’Neil, Lewis Neal and David Nugent were all in back in contention at the weekend and Adam Nowland is said to be close to fitness.
Davies told the official site: ‘The break will be very good for us. We can now go and really get at David Nugent, Danny Dichio and Adam Nowland and Brian O’Neil and all these people who have been out for a while. We can give them a few good running sessions and get at them in the next fortnight and that will hopefully get them ready for the games after the break.’
