Preston are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.
The performance by Michael Keane in the Preston win over Burnley on Saturday was enough to earn a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.
I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Keane was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the Football League blurb read.
‘Preston earned victory at East Lancashire rivals Burnley on Saturday afternoon, producing a classic counter-attacking display.
‘Keane was named in the starting line-up to suit manager Simon Grayson’s game plan, and the striker rewarded the manager’s faith with the first goal in the 2-0 win.’
It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Keane for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the Preston win!
