Today it was revealed that Simon Whaley may miss the rest of the season after suffering a freak accident whilst on a training camp in Spain. The winger has broken his foot after kicking a coffee table when going to the toilet in the middle of the night. The table had a marble top, which landed on his big toe and broke it. Whaley has returned to England to have x-rays to see the extent of the damage. Manager Paul Simpson reckons Whaley may be out for the rest of the season which is a huge blow for the club.

Also today it was revealed that McKenna has been nursing an injury during recent matches. This may explain his below par performances of late. The midfielder is going to have surgery this weekend and this could put him out for 2 to 6 weeks. McKenna is suffering from a groin injury. This leaves the club bare in midfield with Neal, Nowland and Anyinsah already injured with Jarrett out on loan.

Preston also have injuries to Ormerod, Ricketts and Agyemang, Mellor and Davidson have just recovered from their injuries. Nugent may be carrying a neck injury after Friday`s game but he seems unaffected by his knock.
