In The People , Carlo Nash was rumoured to be on the verge of a move to Fulham after all. The fee was alleged to be £500,000. The other player was star striker David Nugent , who was quoted saying he wants to stay at the club , after months of speculation. This came after Nugent`s brilliant goal against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup.
After news broke out of Nash`s proposed move to Fulham, Wigan keeper John Filan was linked with a move to the Lilywhites. Also in The News of the World, North End were touted with a move for Colchester captain Karl Duguid, but face competition for his signature , with Watford, Sheffield United and Derby also looking at him.
