For the fourth time in his career, Preston’s captain and right back Graham Alexander has been named in the PFA team of the year. Every time Preston have been involved in title winning seasons or Play off final appearances, “Grezza” has been in the team of the year. This bodes well for North End, who are currently off form.
The 28 cap Scotland international was at the awards ceremony in London but admitted that whilst the award was nice, he would much rather win promotion and that is the top of his agenda.
The 35 year olds career is coming to a close and time is running out for him to fulfil his dream. Hopefully this season is the season but performances must improve.
