Reactions to Leicester`s shock win over Preston.

Paul Simpson-Preston manager saw the defeat as a “backwards step” in the race for promotion. “If we`d done our job over the last couple of months and been as consistent as we were in the early part of the season then we wouldn`t have to worry about other results.”

So why haven`t we been doing our jobs Simmo?

Opponents manager-New Leicester manager was delighted with his teams performance which all but secures safety. “It was a battling performance with a never-say-die attitude, which is what I look for in teams and players.”

Preston player-Preston new goalkeeper was surprisingly optimistic after he conceded his first goal playing for Preston. He told it how it was claiming “it`s still in our hands”.

However he says the players “must set high standards in their next two games”. Henderson also hopes that the team can recapture the standard of performance that saw them annihilate Coventry a week ago.

Preston fans-Unsurprisingly disappointed and unhappy about the way Simmo credits all the blame on the players when he should be taking some stick. He should change tactics and players to bring a breath of fresh air.

Optimistic about Soley who has played well when picked (picking up man of the match for the second successive home game). Five defeats out of six and still in top four shows how lucky we have been but shows what could`ve been if we had won some games.
