Ilderton last took charge of a game involving Preston near the end of October when the Lillywhites beat Fleetwood Town at Deepdale 3-2. North End had to come back from 2-0 down and took the points thanks to a hat-trick from Joe Garner.
Three players were shown yellow cards, all three coming from Fleetwood players.
So far this season Ilderton has taken charge of 25 games and in that time has shown 76 yellow cards and just the one red.
Ilderton’s assistants will be Glen Hart from County Durham and Tony Peart from North Yorkshire, while the fourth official is Matt Bristow from Manchester.
