Tuesday Night’s game against Peterborough United was a bit tough going for Preston, but they eventually came good in the end, much to the delight of manager Simon Grayson.

Tuesday Night’s game against Peterborough United was a bit tough going for Preston, but they eventually came good in the end, much to the delight of manager Simon Grayson.

Preston were made to fight for their three points, Preston came with a good game plan and on top of that they managed to match the workrate of the home side.

Goals from Daniel Johnson, four minutes before the interval, and Jermaine Beckford nine minutes from the final whistle proved to be enough to grab the points.


After the game, Grayson told www.pnefc.net: “In the first half we took a bit to get going and it was a bit scrappy, but sometimes you have to dig in and make sure the opposition don`t get a foothold in the game and we managed to do that, got a great goal again from Daniel and then in the second half we were compact as a team, passed it really well and got the second goal that we deserved.”
