Preston North End welcome back Chris Kavanagh who will be the referee for the game against Crewe at Deepdale on Saturday.

Kavanagh was at Deepdale earlier this season when Preston beat Shrewsbury in the Johnstones Paint Trophy. The score was 1-0 thanks to a goal from Jordan Hugill. Two players were shown yellow cards, Calum Woods for Preston and Jermaine Grandison of the Shrews.

Looking at the season so far, we see that Kavanagh has been in charge of 23 games so far in which he has shown 65 yellow cards and two red.

Assisting Kavanagh on Saturday will be Mark Dwyer and Andy Scregg while the man blessed with the fourth official’s duties is Scott Oldham.
