Birmingham`s trip to Leicester was postponed because of strong winds and damage to the surrounding area meaning the game was unsafe. Burnley game against Norwich was also called of due to a waterlogged pitch meaning Burnley haven`t played a home game since before Christmas.

Cardiff ended their 11 game winless run with a victory away at Wolves, where their fans weren`t allowed into the stadium. Derby moved to the top of the league, 3 points ahead of Birmingham who now have 2 games in hand. 3rd place Preston keep up the pressure with a last minute victory over Stoke. The Lilywhites went 2-0 down before winning 3-2 thanks to a Kelvin Wilson overhead kick. Ipswich won the East Anglian derby, the first time the teams have met in a league match at Portman road for over 50 years. Barnsley recorded a rare away victory over Luton who gradly slide down the table.

Plymouth host Coventry tonight on sky and Stoke travel to Burnley on Tuesday night before next weekends fixtures.

Micky Adams became another managerial scalp in the Championship this week. He lost his job at Coventry and Adrian Heath has taken temporary control.
