Result: Preston 1-3 Brentford

Preston were beaten at Deepdale by Brentford on Tuesday night, with the visitors breathing life into their outside hopes of making the league one play-offs, whereas Lilywhites fans will be happy to see the back of this campaign I am sure.

Brentford were in complete control before the midway point of the first half with goals from Shaleum Logan (9) and a penalty from Clayton Donaldson (22) putting them into an early 2-0 lead. A Paul Parry (42) penalty before the break did give Preston hope though.

Donaldson (53) extinguished this hope early in the second half when he extended the visitors lead to 3-1, which they held onto.
