Billy Davies has admitted how frustrating the game against QPR was after Preston had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

‘It’s a little bit frustrating but we can ask no more. They are working as hard as they can work. At the end of the day we must continue to do what we have been doing, it was a difficult game today with regards to the type of team we played against.

‘I thought we had one or two good chances second half, Agyemang has flashed one across goal and David Jones has had a couple of great efforts late on so we could have easily been back in the game with 10 or 15 minutes to go but in the end we are delighted with the point under the circumstances.’

Danny Dichio, who was jeered after being substituted, managed to miss a great chance in the first half but the boss has defended the player:

‘I think he is just like the rest of us, we are together, we are one and we don’t blame anybody individually, we blame the team when we win and we blame the team when we get beat. At the end of the day people are there first of all to be on the end of these chances and sometimes miss them and at the same time too we have just got to continue what we are doing and accept the responsibility when we do have the opportunities.’

Davies has said the team take the rough with the smooth from the fans and that if they want to jeer players, that is up to them, he also suggests all it does is give the opposition a great lift.

‘We take the good with the good, last season we had wonderful support, we take the bad with the bad. At the moment with the personnel that we have got and the injuries we are fighting tooth and nail to try and get good results under our belt, it’s up to them to be the way they are and we have just got to accept that that is the way they are and fans have got a devine right to do what they want to do.

‘It won’t change our philosophy, it won’t change our opinion with regards to our team spirit and our togetherness we are trying to push this club forward.’
